Permanent Makeup Training for Brows, Lips & Beauty Services

The Cosmetic Tattoo Apprenticeship Program at the Academy of Advanced Cosmetics is designed for students who want to build a career specializing in cosmetic permanent makeup services.

This apprenticeship focuses on some of the most in-demand services in the beauty industry, including permanent brows and lip procedures that help clients enhance their natural features.

Unlike short training courses, this program provides hands-on clinic experience, mentorship, and guided practice so students graduate confident and prepared to work with real clients.

 

Program Overview

Program Length: Approximately 4–6 months

Training includes:

• Intensive bootcamp training
• Hands-on clinic experience with models
• Portfolio development
• Instructor mentorship and feedback
• Final evaluations and certification

Students graduate with the skills and experience needed to begin offering permanent makeup services professionally.

• Nano Brows
• Combination Brows
• Lip Blushing / Lip Neutralization
• Brow Lamination
• Henna Brows
• Faux Freckles

 

Optional Add-On Certification

• Eyeliner Tattoo

Students receive a professional starter kit capable of servicing up to 40 clients, including:

• Professional tattoo machine
• Pigments and cartridges
• Practice skins
• Mapping tools and supplies
• Training manuals and materials

• Guided clinic blocks with real models
• Instructor supervision and feedback
• Portfolio development assistance
• Business and marketing guidance

Begin Earning While You Train

During the apprenticeship program, students participate in supervised clinic blocks where they work with models.

Many students choose to charge reduced model rates during these sessions.

For example:

 

Brow procedures commonly range from $400–$700 per client depending on location and experience.

Just 2–3 clients per month can significantly offset the cost of training while building your portfolio.

Continue Working at Our Facility

Graduates may also continue working within our facility using our room rental option.

 

This allows artists to:

• rent a treatment room when needed
• bring their own clients
• charge their own service prices

Many graduates continue working within our facility because it allows them to build their client base with very low overhead.
